Ride Into theHeart of the Desert

A Quad Moto Excursion through ancient kasbahs, golden palmeraies, and the untouched wilderness of Southern Morocco.

The Experience

Where Adventure Meets Ancient Heritage

Nestled between the Sahara and the High Atlas Mountains, Tinejdad is one of Morocco’s best-kept secrets — a land where thousand-year-old kasbahs rise from red earth, oases burst with date palms, and the silence of the desert is broken only by the wind… and the roar of your quad engine.

Our Quad Moto Excursion is crafted for those who want to feel the land, not just see it. We take you off the tourist trail and deep into the living history of the Drâa-Tafilalet region, combining the thrill of off-road riding with authentic cultural encounters, traditional hospitality, and landscapes that have inspired poets and travellers for centuries.

What We Prepare for You

Every Detail, Perfectly Arranged

From the moment you arrive, our team ensures a seamless, memorable, and safe adventure. Here is what awaits you:

Premium Quad Fleet

Fully maintained, powerful quads suited for all terrain — from rocky pistes to soft desert sand. Helmets, gloves, and protective gear included.

Expert Local Guides

Born and raised in Tinejdad, our guides share not just directions, but stories — legends of tribes, ancient trade routes, and the secrets of the ksour.

Palmeraie & Oasis Stops

Pause in the shade of the Ferkla Oasis, one of the largest in Morocco, and taste fresh dates grown by the families who’ve tended these palms for generations.

Traditional Mint Tea Welcome

Every excursion begins and ends with a ceremony of hospitality — sweet Moroccan mint tea poured with flair, alongside freshly baked msemen and local honey.

Authentic Berber Lunch

A slow-cooked tajine, prepared by local families in a traditional ksar courtyard. Lamb, preserved lemon, olives — the taste of the South in every bite.

Photography Moments

We know every breathtaking angle — golden-hour kasbah walls, canyon viewpoints, and the endless horizon of the Erg — so you return with extraordinary memories.

Cultural Heritage

Discovering the Kasbahs of Tinejdad

The region around Tinejdad is a living museum of earthen architecture. Our route threads through the most remarkable kasbahs and ksour (fortified villages) in the Drâa-Tafilalet — each one a chapter in the story of the Amazigh (Berber) people who built this civilization.

  • 01 Kasbah El Khorbat: One of the finest restored kasbahs in southern Morocco, this 17th-century fortress is home to a museum of local life, Berber jewellery, and traditional costumes. Our guides bring its history to life with tales of the merchants and warriors who once walked these corridors.
  • 02 Ksar Asrir: A magnificent fortified village perched above the palmeraie, where the original earthen walls still stand as testimony to centuries of communal living. Walk through narrow alleyways beneath carved wooden lintels and hear the echoes of a vibrant past.
  • 03 The Ksour of Ferkla: Clustered along the ancient river valley, the ksour of Ferkla are among the most photogenic in the region — towers of rammed earth glowing amber at sunset, framed by swaying palms and a sky that stretches forever.
  • 04 Hidden Desert Ruins: Off the beaten track, our guides lead you to abandoned kasbahs slowly reclaimed by the desert — hauntingly beautiful, completely unvisited by mass tourism, and unforgettable in their raw, crumbling grandeur.

Day Itinerary

A Day in the Life of the Desert

08:00 AM

Welcome & Briefing

Arrive at our base. Enjoy a traditional mint tea welcome, meet your guide, receive your safety briefing and gear, and get a quick quad-handling introduction for first-timers.

08:30 AM

Into the Palmeraie

Engines fire up as we ride through the lush heart of the Ferkla Oasis — a 10-kilometre carpet of date palms, fig trees, and irrigation channels inherited from the ancient foggara system.

10:00 AM

Kasbah Exploration

We dismount at Kasbah El Khorbat and Ksar Asrir for guided walking tours. Touch 400-year-old mud walls, step inside restored reception rooms, and listen to stories that no guidebook captures.

12:30 PM

Berber Lunch in the Ksar

A family home opens its doors to us. Slow-cooked tajine, fresh bread from a clay oven, Amlou almond paste — fuel for the afternoon adventure ahead.

02:00 PM

Desert Piste & Canyon Ride

The afternoon ride takes us into raw desert terrain — rocky hammada, dry river gorges, and open sand flats where you can open the throttle and feel true freedom.

05:00 PM

Sunset at the Ruins

We end the day at an abandoned ksar, watching the sun set the walls ablaze with orange and gold. Silence, beauty, and a moment you will carry forever.

06:30 PM

Return & Farewell

Back at base for cold drinks, photos, and warm farewells. The desert has a way of making strangers into friends.
